What are the symptoms of a chicken that is eggbound possibly? She is not eating, lethargic, her feathers are ruffled.

How old is she? Is her tail position down? Is there any swelling or fullness around her vent? Is she walking with a wide gait? You can try to offer her a human calcium citrate tablet with vitamin d or a Tums orally. Pop the tablet into her beak, or break the Tums in two and give her that. Offer some fluids as well.

Her tail feathers are more straight out. She is only 8 months old. I did the Epson salt and water bath. I gave her a scrambled egg chopped up very fine. She ate a little bit of it. She is just ruffled up and lethargic. She has been this way for 2 days. I am going to the feed store to morrow to get a syringe so I can give her water mixed with egg. Also ck on what they think might be going on. don't want to lose her. I was told to use Epsom salt and water thing every 2 hours. Also to massage her. But I can't feel any egg.
