  1. It does seem I might be in need of a Chicken Psychologist? This sweet gal, "Earzz," has developed a habit recently of running over to "General Tsaoh" and "Shiny Penny," and attacking them both when they are in the process of mating. At first, I thought she was standing up for her sister and trying to make The General stop. But then I saw her attacking her sister the other day, with several sharp pecks, as soon as mating was over. What in the world? Could she be jealous o...f the attention The General is showing Shiny Penny? General Tsaoh mates with Earzz, too, but since Henny-Honey had her implants, I haven't let him mate with her. So it's just the two girls for General Tsaoh right now. All feedback appreciated. Earzz doesn't hurt either of them. But she sure registers her displeasure with them both, and tries to get in on the action, so to speak? I've never seen this before in 7 years of raising chickens?

I'm not sure but I did have one hen that was human- friendly and would jump up and peck my legs if I picked another member of the flock up.

Awww, they all have so much personality, CTKen. So cute. My cats are like this. I sing a special song to one boy, and if my Siamese hears this, he comes running and hisses and chases Pawff-Pawff away. He can't stand it when I give the other cat that kind of attention.
