Could she pull through?

In the Brooder

We had a hatching EE chick last evening that looked like it was drowning as it was trying to unzip. Apparently, the humidity was too high (incubator not reading accurately) and it was blowing bubbles from its mouth, so we decided to assist. This was the last egg and figured it wouldn't survive otherwise. When she was born, her yolk wasn't fully in her abdomin. She made it through the night and I moved her to the brooder this morning - seperate from the other chicks in her own shoes box. She sleeps a lot and seems to make a clicking noise when breathing. She also can't seem to stand up and only scoots around using one leg, but not the other. I treat her umbilical cord with iodine a few times throughout the day and dropper her some magic water as well. She loves watching the other chicks from her hospital box, but I'm worried she won't make it. Realistically, what are her chances? Is there more I should be doing? Her yolk sac looks good, almost normal I think, but her breathing and lack of energy concerns me. I worry she aspirated water into her lungs and may develop pneumonia.

Thank you for your time and experience!

How is she?

I like the way you have your brooder separated.
With chicks, oh boy, it's so hard to know if they will make it not. The clicking - possibly the air sacs and lungs aren't fully developed yet, as you mention, possibly aspirated some fluids - again, it's one of those wait and see thing.

The scooting around - are both legs functional? She may benefit from a chick chair?
I would get some B2(Riboflavin) into her - does any of your magic water, chick vitamins, etc. include that?

She's a little trooper...she's made it through her 2nd night 😊. I will check on the b12 and if there isn't any, I'll get some. Thank you for the link, I'll check it out now 😊

Glad she's still going.

It's B2 Riboflavin, not B12.
Thank you for pointing that out. I saw B2, but my brain said B12 :D S/he is still doing well. The belly button area looks good and she's drinking magic water, from a syringe, better and better each day. The clicky breathing has stopped and she's chirping louder and finding her lungs. She's even trying to get up and move around. She has a splayed leg and sometimes she stands on both, but she's having trouble getting them to work together. I'm going to research that now.

Glad she is doing a bit better!
I hope the hobbling helps straighten out her splayed legs.
Please keep us posted
