Could the newborn chick recover from this or is it a gone-er?

HELP one chick was just born with the membraney thing still coming out of what looks to be its bum, and then around that area (I am assuming it's the bum) is a somewhat raised fleshy area similar to a donut that just looks pinkish and like it shouldn't be there. Other 2 chicks did not have this area that I saw. He is just laying there breathing. Anything I can do short of pray?

Keep him warm and keep the others off him and give him some time.

Thanks... I have done just that and he appears to have a little more life - just a little. He separated himself from the membrane and the bum area doesn't look so bad - maybe it was my viewing angle before. Luckily the others are dry so I popped them out and he is not disturbed.

I don't know. this whole chick hatching thing is more stressful than childbirth.
