Hi! I have 4 silkies and just wandering, could these possibly be show quality? Probably not. I collected the eggs from my own silkies so I am not sure. Also, they are still pullets ( and a Cockrell). Thanks!

They look decent, but Moore Head isn't accepted. Moore head is Black head on Partridge Bird.

The next ones are Buff, & Red Partridge.

These are Vaulted Skulled Silkies, which I'm not really a fan of. I have 1 that I did hatch from SQ Silkie Father, & Hatchery Silkie Mother. The mother has really good type for a hatchery bird. But she's large, & heavy, unlike a bantam.

Father.

I'd wait until fully feathered, before judging fully, on coloration, body type, crest shape/Size, Tail type, & Fluffiness, feathered feet, width of 5th toe, & evenness. I have the Book of SOP, & I can check out your birds from there later today.

Just some comments
Any color can be exhibited wether it’s recognized by APA/ABA or not.
That’s where the difference in how one defines “show quality” comes into consideration.
Color problems need to be sorted into either defect or disqualification before exhibiting in my opinion.
Going to leave it up to the ones that are interested to research wether black crest on Partridge Silkie is defect or disqualification.
