Could this be an Easter Egger?

Yes, it's an EE. Feathered feet is a dominant gene, so whichever breed of chicken was crossed w/Americaunas/ Auraucas gave you an EE with feathered feet. EEs have no breed standard, the only requirement is that they carry the blue egg gene.

I don't think hatcheries are going to mix feather footed birds with their EE stock. There's no profit in doing so as most feather footed birds are lower production birds, and hatcheries want to boost production in their stock, not lower it.

I think you have a pretty blue cochin. Nothing's screaming cockerel at this point and this breed usually doesn't have shy boys. How old is it?

I agree that there's no profit in it, but you'd think a hatchery would know the difference between a Cochin and an Easter Egger. What kind of store did you get her from?

Generic local hardware/farm store - not a hatchery.

The store had multiple big bins of chicks - usually a couple different varieties in each. I don't remember the other sign on this one! Either way is fine - she is loved :)

But they probably ordered their birds from a hatchery. Chicks get mixed up at feed stores all the time--just read some of the posts about TSC and what they sell chicks as and what they actually turn out to be. Feed store employees don't necessarily know a darn thing about breeds of chickens.
