Could this egg be from an 18 week old Maran?

I just got a dark brown egg and wondered if it looks like it could be from a ( Midnight Majesty) Maran who is 18 weeks old?? Seems early for a Maran as I read on the internet they don't start laying until 24 weeks usually. Thanks. The egg in question is the one on the L.

Maran. But your title says 18 month. Assume you mean 18 week. That's old enough to lay, although a bit early. There is nothing else in your flock that could lay such a dark egg. Congrats!

Wow. That almost makes my Marans egg look tan.

This was a MMM egg. Amazing that this hybrid breed ( not a purebred Maran), and one from a larve hatchery at that, can lay such dark eggs. Her MMM hatchmate's egg is a shade or two lighter. My BCM hen doesn't even lay this dark.
