Could this kill them?!?

So last September I hatched some eggs. One was already hatched while the other one was still in the process. The first one started to peck the other one while it was hatching!!! It didn't die, but if it happens again, could that kill them? Thank you!:/

Yes and no. If the chicks just peck out of curiosity, chances are no harm will be done. If the chick is pecking viciously, there is a chance that it could injure or kill the hatching chick. If you are concerned, take the rambunctious chick out of the hatcher and stick it into the brooder.
