I got my two ducklings today.
They were supposed to be Pekins as that was what I was told when I asked weeks earlier. They were supposed to be in tommorow not today and I guess I am real lucky that I had to go to the feed store for feed or I mighta missed out. Anyway, they were dyed so it was sorta hard to tell but I saw this one and I knew that I wanted it though I knew it couldn't be a Pekin. It had a large blackish brownish (yet again hard to tell cause of the dye) spot on its back. The man that works and owns the store did tell me that that one would probably not be white. Meaning it isn't a Pekin.
So on to my question. Can anyone help me take a stab in the dark. Here is the description. She has black legs down to her ankles and then there is black lines running down each toe and random spots. Her bill is somewhat the same. A couple of black lines over pink. A couple of small black dots on the top of her head and then a big black spot on her back. Her chest and neck and most of her head is yellow.
Now can anyone take a guess?
I tried to look around here for duckling pictures and by someones pic I thought maybe an Ancona (spelling?) but would they sell these at a Southern States?
My other one I think is a Pekin.
