There's Pumpkin. She's one of the pullets that will hop up on the roost, look me straight in the eye, and make funny noises until I stop petting the others and pet HER.

Here's Half-tail, so named because she formerly had just one tail feather (which is now gone

) Her tails starting to grow back, though! Weee. But I think she's stuck with that name.

That's one of the roos, Purple. That's the best picture I could get of him the other day. He's a little camera-shy. I'll go out to the coop tonight and get a decent one.

My pal Bella. She has serious jealousy issues! If I'm paying attention to anyone but her, she either goes to the corner of the nesting box and sulks, or pecks at the other one. Or she hops up to my shoulder.

Everyone thought it wise to pile up next to my leg. They were hoping I would open the door and let them out.

Red. I'm hoping his tail feathers will grow out soon; he's looking a little scruffy. Does anyone know why his wings are always drooping like in this pic?
