Coup lighting

I've heard that it's ok to keep a light on, in the coup at night time. I was wondering if helps my girls at all, or if it doesn't matter either way to them.

I have light in my coop all the time. Doesn't seem to be a problem. Some people are opposed to lights in the coop.
I think it's really up to what works for you.
