I have 3 EE's that are 11 weeks old. 2 are roosters and 1 is a pullet. One of my roos started crowing this week. Is it unusual for them to start crowing so young? I've had a roo before and he didn't start till he was about 14 weeks. Since my new roo started so early, will my pullet start laying early? I didn't think I'd have to set up her nesting box for at least 4 to 5 weeks, but now I'm wondering. I also have to other hens, a RIR and a Barred Rock. I've had the three EE's in a chain link dog pen for 2 weeks now, so that my two hens can see them and get used to them (the hens are free range in my yard). Tonight we let one of the EE's out and he was attacked by both the hens at the same time! Will I ever be able to intergrate them??? Or will they eventually get used to each other? One more question, my roos get along fine now, but will I have to get rid of one? My neighbor tells me you can't have more than one roo per flock.
