Has anyone ever covered their incubator (not the vent of course) to help eggs incubate better? Long story short, we incubated eggs in 2 completely different incubators in a room completely different from what we normally use. Bad batches in both. We know our eggs are great because other people hatch them all the time. We dry incubated the first 18 days at 20-40%, then had trouble raising the humidity to 65% and getting it to stay there.

Many bubble type incubators come with a styrofoam insulation box, some people use blankets or homemade cozies. It can help maintain a consistent temp, just cut holes for plugs, vents, etc. Also use an inner room with minimal doors/windows/drafts.
