Covering raised bed for 5 months, safe2 add chicken poop directly?

Come November I will stop growing veggies in one of our raised garden beds until April and I was wondering if I could top the bed directly with chicken manure safely; I will cover it with black plastic. If yes, should I wet the soil before I put the black plastic over the garden?

I do DLM with poop boards in the coop and a DLM cold composting in the run with our 11 hens.

Yes. Then turn it in spring before planting. You will be fine.

Yep agree, I do this actually starting now as I clear out beds and won't plant until May here.

Oh for sure. I used to put in Compost pile first but now I add directly to garden beds and under bushes, shrubs and trees.
