My neighbor's daughter has been having coyote problems. Since I haven't YET she and her Father came over to see what I am doing that they are not. First, off I have 2 dogs (100 lbs. each) that like to play with other animals that come in their yard and I have an electric fence. They have neither. As we sat down on the front proch to drink some ice tea, we saw 5 crossing their horse pasture headed for the duck pond. I asked Karl where the horses were and he said his wife and older children have them out riding.
I reached inside the door and let Mr. smith & Mr. Wesson speak to them. Karl will now have to say a few words over 4 of them. And Julie's chickens and ducks can sleep a little better tonight.
After we checked to make sure they had crossed over to the other side, I let both of them shoot my 410 shotgun. Neither are going to be sharp shooters. Julie couldn't hit any of the targets, until I found one of a fox, she hit that one every time. She said it looked like the coyote.
Karl will have to get a gun to protect their chickens now. I didn't know there was anyone in this area that didn't own a firearm of some kind.
