Cracked egg with live embryo

I just dropped an egg today with a live embryo and I didn’t have any wax with me or anything so I plastered tape all over. I am extremely nervous since i needed at least 3 eggs to hatch. Is there anything else I can do to help? Please give me suggestions and I’ll keep you updated. Since only the shell cracked and the membrane is still intact, nothing leaked. Right now, the embryo is still alive but I’m afraid something will happen to it.

Would it work if I used hot glue? Im pretty sure it’s non toxic too and the crack was fairly small

Clear nail polish works very well for sealing eggs. Melting a crayon is another option. I would not use hot glue.

How come? Also update on it today: I couldn’t really see the embryo anymore? Idk I sealed it with some crayon and a hint of hot glue on medium heat is that okay?
