Cracked feet. Help!

It looks like they are in very poor condition. First thing that comes to mind is the long toe nails indicating lack of outside time.Where are they most of the day?I would give them a warm bath and apply Vaseline to the scabs.

All of my hens feet are cracked and losing toes. What could this be??? Can you take them to a vet?
Any photos of their housing and where they spend the day?
Are thy kept in wet conditions?

Soak the feet in a warm bath with epsom salts, betadine or Chlorhexidine added to the water. Try to get the caked on poop out of the feathers. Try to get the feet and legs cleaned up, gently scrub with a soft brush to remove dirt. Dry the feet well and apply some Vetericyn or triple antibiotic ointment to the feet and keep them on clean dry bedding.

I agree the nails need to be trimmed. Start by trimming just a small amount at a time. Let this be a process until you get them shortened.

They could have some Scaly Leg Mites, but they generally won't cause the death and loss of toes like that. Wet conditions/poop accumulation on the feet or some type of injury could also be contributors. Watch for signs of infection - swelling/redness, oozing and foul odors.

Could the toe loss be from frostbite over the winter? I think a vet would be a good idea, take one in to see what's up. Because losing toes sounds serious. And also find out whether the feet have bacterial infection or mites.
