Ok I LOVE CL. I have this obsession with the Free section. I have enough crap already but you know, someone else crap is SO much better !

I just scored today 24 Wall Retaining blocks. Not the stuff Home Depot has, this is the big special order stuff. 12" deep, 8.5" tall, 18" wide in front. And they weigh about 85 # each
I only took 24 because I couldn't carry any more to my truck. Course, now I have to take them OUT of the truck.
The straw I got 2 years ago I got free too, about 12 big sq bales.
The 4' tall green metal fence I have around the front yard and the run in the back I got too. 50' long, brand new, 5 rolls !
60 cinder blocks last year for $0.50 each.

And this is just outside stuff.

I also put a ton of stuff out for free too. The round short posts that were around my pond 3 days ago, filters, food, clothes, knick knacks.

CAM03565.jpg This is part of the kids play house I got for them CAM03354.jpg This is the round posts I just gave away CAM03585.jpg And here are the huge wall blocks I just got along with the free wheelbarrow in the back there.

I LOVE RECYCLING !

NICE !
Oh forgot, I also got a bunch of those plastic roofing panels.
They are a little flimsy but with a good frame under it it will be great for an over hang infront of the coop !
And FREE

Very good! I just purchased some of those panels in fiberglass. They were 24" x 8' and about $25 each. Gasp! You did well on the landscape block too!

I have been gettting rid of things and Craig's List has been a blessing.

Ohh I was thinking of a chest freezer but I have to wait till I buy a house in 2 years :( But that is a great price ! I don't really do FB

The roof panels I got were about 2' wide by 4' long and some are only 2' long BUt hey, free is free !

There is a Thrift store in the next town that help Shelters :love So I do try and give a bunch to them. Some times I put it on CL and if it isn't gone in 2 days it goes to Thrift store. I also shop at that thrift store too !

We got metal fencing panels that go for just under 20 bucks each at Home Depot. Our Craigslist ones cost us 5 each.

They are 42 inches tall and about 30 inches wide. Thing is they are see through enough the city wont make us take them out. City code is 36 inches. No more dogs on walks making a poop in my flower garden.
:wee

Oh and the sellers tossed in a yard bench and cool bird feeder for free. :yesss:

NICE !!! I hate it when dog walkers let their dogs pee/poop on others lawns.
I think if you have a dog, let it go on your property and if you want to WALK the dog, then JUST WALK!
course I live in rental territory so no one cares. I have a fence up too.. Looks like crap but keeps kids/dogs out ! and hens in ;)

Yup even little fences can keep my flowers safe.
I was watering just a minute ago. The bees seem happy too.

It is so dry here and hard to keep things alive. I put water out for the bees too.

My DH has purchased some busted up broke down old motorcycles on Craig's. He fixes them and makes them nice again then resells them. Some of them looked like lost causes to me but turned out stunning.

It is amazing what you can find on Craig's.

I love looking for freebies... probably how we end up with so much junk in the garage.

My latest / best finds were on Nextdoor instead of CL.

#1 - a 50" Samsung plasma TV. She said it has a red stripe (about 9" in height) that goes horizontally across the screen. She was right. What she didn't know was that Samsung sent out their old plasmas with the lowest voltage settings possible to show their energy savings, but that also leads to issues like the dreaded red stripe. So with some luck, I'll be able to up the voltage slightly (slight increase in power consumption, too) and get rid of the red stripe. If not... no worries. It's going to be hung in my woodworking shop anyway, so I don't mind a red stripe!

#2 - a free 42" Poulan Pro riding lawnmower. It's OLD (2001 or 2002, I think). The owner said he was mowing the lawn and it just stopped moving forward. Then he smelled burning rubber. He decided then and there that he was going to hire a lawn service instead of fix it. (It already has an oil leak and a couple other small problems.) The burning rubber smell tells me that most likely a belt came off. That's a fairly easy fix. The oil leak and other minor problems, well... that's why we have a small engine repair guy! :) This mower, if we get it going, will be PERFECT for us. We just bought a house on 3/4 acre last summer, and pushing the mower over that land is starting to wear on my nerves!!
