Craigslist chick

We got our first chicks off craigslist. They were "extra's". This little one was bit by our dog about 2 minutes after we brought it home and we nursed the wing and it has healed up nicely. So now we are playing the guessing game. After reading many many hours of post from this board, we are leaning to Rooster...which breaks our heart since we can't have them in our housing development. I know we are a little ahead of the 5-6 week range to be able to tell with Barred Rocks, but thought I would see what you all though.

its a pullet but looks like a cuckoo marans since the barring is off and its got pinkish/ black legs not yellowish/ black legs

I love our Cuckoo Maran. It's the bravest of our chicks and always comes to me. It looked like a pullet until its comb grew and turned red at 8 weeks old. I'm not guessing sex anymore. They all look like pullets until one day they aren't.
