My toddler snuck in to the closet where I am incubating and tried to help me "turn" the eggs. He then put it back, closed it up and I just noticed when candling that it is cracked. It is a small crack with a definite center point, but it is not so cracked that it seems to be extra fragile or leaking. I am still assuming this one is done for, correct? Or is there any possibility that it might survive with the cracked shell?

Forgot one more question. I put the eggs in late Friday night, the 29th. Is it too late to add another egg to the incubator? It is a very favored Wellsummer that I would like to try for, if possible. Can I try or would it somehow be risky for that egg or the others if I add it late like this?

Eh. The only problem is this egg will be a couple days behind and when you go into lockdown, the humidity will be too high for it. I mean you can try. It wont hurt the other eggs. For the cracking problem, get some clear nail polish and paint over the crack. Should fix the problem unless bacteria already invaded the embryo. Plain melted candle wax works too.
