Crazy Chicken?

We woke up at 3 am to the sound of our chickens being attacked. We get out there and our Amaracana was freaking out, flew the coop and ran off into the night because we left the gate open to let the predator out. She returned by 7:30am. She did it again this morning. She's also molting.
Anyone have this happen? Is she sick or just crazy? We've had chickens for 6 years and never experienced this before.
Eta: I forgot to mention there were no predators inside or near the coop either time.

She's neither sick nor crazy = she's just terrified. As a prey animal she is now on high alert, and her 'flight' instinct is in control of her behavior.

She is not sick, or crazy, but she is on alert and feels threatened.

Something must have really given her a bad scare, hopefully she calms down soon.
