crazy for corn

corn. thats it. my 5 week old chickens, they just go absoulutly insane for corn. like, they would sell their soul for corn. i made for them what i call "quarrentine corn-tea", and basically boil some water in a kettle, put some frozen sweet corn in a mug, and rinse it with the water, and drain. ive tried it before, it tastes fresh! then i take it to their run, and do the "here chickie chickie chickie" and the run right over. expecting nothing but corn. its crazy. its insane. ive learned if you have their favorite food, and hand feed it to chicks, they literally have such a trust with you, its wonderful. just.... corn!

also, the one of my girls, Chad, will even jump higher than i even thought she could, just for corn! i think theyre addictied.

That's so sweet! My babies like corn also but go crazy over fruit, like strawberries and cantaloupe. They LOVE it!

My chicks love strawberries & grapes. They will take them straight from my hands. They also go nuts over grass. I am going to try corn today.

You're welcome! I love watching them try new foods. Also plain greek yogurt. It's hilarious to watch them eat it!! I wouldnt stand too close cause min slink it everywhere but it's so cute!
