crazy rooster

i caught him chasing a squirrel across the backyard. i don't know if the squirrel knew his intentions, but he/she (i don't think the rooster cares) was running for it's life

The rooster was doing his job - protecting his territory from an intruder. Poor squirrel probably didn't know what was happening.

That squirrel was lucky he didn't get caught. Your rooster, and probably hens too, would have made a meal out of him!
