Cream Legbars

Yes, thank you for the information.

We broody hatched last year and let the cockerel go to first crow, right near 16 weeks and didn't have an issue. Gumbo was great.

Used an incubator this year and guessing we have near a dozen cockerels this year. 4 weeks old and was planning on going to 16 weeks again. From what I am reading here, 8 weeks may be better for these Barnyard mixes - Dominique, Australorp, Delaware somethings and a couple Red Layers. The purpose of this hatching was incubator practice with hope of new layers. So far, so good.

With a dozen-ish, we have the option of butchering the large ones and letting the smaller keep growing for a couple more weeks.
