Crested Cream Legbar crest development

Hi,

I have several CL's that have hatched. I only see crests developing in a few of them at 2 weeks of age. Should the rest develop crests, or is it probably a no-go crests for the rest?

Also, I presume that if I want crested chicks from this bunch, I should only save the crested ones for breeding stock?Thanks!

I would wait before you get rid of any of them to see if they develop them. As for your breeding I would agree to only use the ones with crests

Hi! I’m a new cream legbar owner and I was wondering if you had any update on your perhaps crestless chicks? My own is about a month old, I think he’s a roo but he has no sign of crest development
