So I let my little boy pick out a few ducklings yesterday and upon closer inspection today I think one may be crested? I surely hope not but its head is oh so subtly shaped differently than the others. Help?!

If it's a crested it's sure not very noticeable . Are you worried? @HummelBee

Yeah we had a crested once upon a time a long time ago and it had seizures and died. I'm not crazy about the idea of having all that fuss again

Doesn't really look crested to me. But some ducks have smaller crests that don't show when they are little.

Yeah it's such a small difference from the others that I really can't tell until I pull it away from them. It's just a bit more squared off and slightly poofier. Hopefully it's just a funny shaped head lol

Not all crested have neurological problems and hopefully one with that small of a crest wouldn't.

Sorry for the sad experience with your other crested. I wish hatcheries would stop breeding for them.

I agree, but people think they're cute, and money is money. I personally don't care for the look of them or the possible outcome.
They are cute that is for sure. And your right if it makes money why worry about their out come down the road.

Do you plan on taking this lil one back to the store?
