crested/pekin ducks

I have been looking for mature female ducks for my two male pekins because they are trying to mate with my mallard. Some e said they have two crested ducks for sale. Is this a good idea? I read on here that the Crest is a deformity and they shouldn't breed.

I have heard crests are a deformity where the skull hasn't hardened over completely. You can get more information by posting on the duck thread. Just put "Duck thread," in the search box and it will take you there.

If I remember correctly, you may run into problems when you mate 2 cresteds together.
