I pulled them out today to put a damp washcloth in there and I noticed a small dent in one egg and the other was cheeping. So precious :}

i was reading how a quarter of crested ducklings die right before hatching due to skull deformities and one of my ducklings died today and I decided to investigate why. I peeled back the shell to reveal an open skull. It looked like it's brain was exposed... :[ The remaining duckling is alive and well, should be hatching tommorrow...i hope this one makes it!!!
