Hello, my name is Sam; I am eighteen (female) and currently in my senior year at the Coatesville Area Senior High School. That is in Pennsylvania.

I am disappointed because even if I get permission from my parents, and even if my township says it's alright, but my landlord says no, then I will not be able to own chickens in my yard.

Yes I live in the country, and my homestead has like... 1.9 acres? But the problem is that we are only renting this house, its technically not all ours.

Doncha hate that feeling? Where you get so excited about something... and then something gets in the way and you get so... depressed?

Hi Sam! welcome to BYC . It is hard to wait, but time will surely fly and keep this wish in mind when you look for your next place. Spend this time researching coops and the type chickens that you want. This is a great place to hang out!

Ok haha

I'm quite shy, and I usually steer clear of forums, but *shrug*

I've found this is a great site; full of info. And I decided my favorite breeds are Wyandottes, Plymouth Rocks, and Australorps

And hopefully when I move out I'll be able to carry out my plans...

Dar! Sorry about your landlord!

Maybe he'll change his mind someday??

Remind him that if you are allowed 5 or 6 hens, they will produce more eggs than you could possibly use. (*hint-hint*)
Who could pass up free eggs on a regular basis?

nobody!

My mom's like... "He's afraid of chickens!"

And my Dad's been in the Army, Navy, and Air Force.
