Crests, muffs, and beards

Is there any reason a mix can't inherit a crest (like legbars have) and beard/muff? Would crossing a legbar with ameraucana or easter eggers achieve this?

I'm fairly confident on the basics of color genetics, but I don't know anything about crest/beard/muff genetics

Crests and beards are both incompletely dominant so they will inherit them they will just be smaller than that of the bearded or crested parent.
