This blue boy is right at 4 months old. He has started to show some potential lately. I would love some othe opinions on his overall type.
Foot Feathers go on forever and his toe separation is great, the best I have ever had in my birds. The grass is wet and his feet are wet in this photo. I felt he was to tall and slender but as he ages he is filling out more. I am thinking that the comb will be smaller at this point than the other roosters I have. Thanks for honest comments.

Thank you Suze, I have had some doubts about him all along because he seemed so tall and long necked but in the last two weeks he has started to fill out and the cushion is looking so much improved. I am thinking he will be a keeper after all. He has lots of individual qualities I like but I have not eye for the total package, I can't see the forest for the trees as it were.

How far are you from Lawrenceburg, TN? The Silkie Nationals are there mid November--he'll be a bit on the young side, but mature as he is at 4 months, I would be surprised if he isn't ready by then.

I am within driving distance that is for sure, I have been to a show in Lawrenceburg before. I got the poultry Press and there was not anything about it yet. I look forward to seeing the ad.

Walks, I will let you know when it is. It would be so nice to meet some BYCer there.

They are haveing a show again in The Shoals AL again this year too. The club folded after lots of burn out but they have reformed and are hosting their first show in September.

Suze, I went back and checked hatch date and it was March 14 so next Friday he will be 5 months old. It was the Cochins that hatched out later in the month in March.

Looks like he has potential Jaynie. I would definitely keep him and see at 12 months what he looks like
