Critique my brooder and stuff :)

Hello! I'm new to chickens, and will be getting my babies on 4/13. Just looking for opinions on the brooder and all the stuff that I have to go with it.

Here's what I have:

plastic swimming pool and that plastic panel brooder you buy at the store.
2 -chick waterers (so they can't drown)
2 - 8 hole feeders
pine bedding with paper towels over the top
heat lamp with red bulb
feed (though I will be picking this up later)
organic ACV for their water
electrolytes
food safe DE for sprinkling around when they go to their coop - that helps with mites right?

I also plan on fermenting the food since it sounds like it really works well for less mess.

I think that's all I have.

Can I use just any branches I find for a perch for the chicks? What kind of perch will I need in the coop?

Sounds good! I'd also consider a digital thermometer with an alarm.
