Hey guys I was cleaning poop buts this morning to realize one of our babies has cross beak!!! I've only had 2 other cross beak birds one was from a neglect case that I fixed with trimming and the other was a hatch of mine who simply had bad hatch position. This baby is super healthy otherwise, just wanted to know if it would likely need trimming in the future as we no longer free-range(our other girl never really needed a trim due to free ranging along concrete, gravel, sand and grass that seemed to keep it from growing out too terribly.

It may need trimming a little, just keep an eye on it! Trim it like a dog nail. If it gets too curved and pointed it could cause problems with eating, preening and drinking, but it doesn’t look severely crooked/split yet so I wouldn’t worry for a while.
