This I'd a 7 week old "Colunbian Rock Cross" and I have noticed that her crop seems to be different than that of the other girls in my flock. Based on what I found on the internet, I think it was an impacted crop, as it was very firm. I separated her and only gave her water for a day, ans made sure to massage her crop a few times, and then checked her crop this morning. It didn't feel empty, but it was not as large as it was the precious day, so I assume that whatever was causing the issue was getting better. I gave her some yogurt and some of the starter feed I have, but now walking her walk around, her crop seems to just be a different shape than my other birds. To be fair, the other birds are not the same breed, but they are all a less than a week apart in age.

What are your thoughts?

You’ve done some good treatment. Yes, massage the crop often from the top down. It should get softer with time. Always allow her access to clean water, and some good food for impacted-crop chickens is a boiled egg. Is she laying?
