Crop swollen

So I'm pretty sure my 9mo old autralorp has sour crop. It's squishy and looks just like all of the pictures ice seen on it. I put her alone in a carrier yesterday morning with no food and gave her water with acv only. It has not gone down at all. I've also been massaging her crop several times a day. My husband wants to take her to the vet. What do u guys think?

If you can afford it, take her to a vet, the vet will be able to very quickly look at a sample of her crop contents under a scope and tell you if it's a fungal or bacterial infection and prescribe proper medications for either.

Yes, I think that's what we will do. My friends think I'm ridiculous for taking my chicken to the vet but my hubby insists its worth it than trying to guess what's going on. Thanks!
