Eloise wasn’t born with her cross beak - it showed up around 8-9 weeks. She’s 12 weeks now. She seems to be eating and drinking fine. She is the same size as her sister (same breed) so her growth hasn’t slowed down yet. But the cross beak is continuing to get worse. She will peck at the hanging treats I put out as well as the ones I give in a bowl at night.

If this continues to get worse is this something a vet needs to look at? I don’t know that clipping and filing her beak will resolve the situation. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!

It's a condition that frequently becomes worse. There is realistically little that a veterinarian can do. In some instances beak trimming does become necessary. Providing moistened feed in a deep dish can facilitate eating. Good luck with her.

Thank you! That’s what I thought after reading multiple threads on this site. I just wasn’t sure if hers was a “bad case” or not. We’re monitoring her eating as much as we can - just don’t know how much worse it till get.
