Cross Breeding Leghorn to Rhode Island Red ???

I have Rhode Island Red and White Rock Hens and 1 Very Healthy

White Leghorn Rooster If I hatch the brown eggs will the new hatch hens lay white eggs or Brown??

I've heard the Roo carries the color gene, yet I am convinced from my own crosses that it is not a single gene and that they can mix colors. I would go for a light brown/tinted egg, but, since it is a gene mix up, I say any shade in between is possible.

from what i've read, if you cross a RIR Roo on to a white leghorn you will get brown eggs and off spring that is commonly called "Red Star" which is also known as a sex link. What I don't know is if you will get these exact results right off the first cross or if you have to do multiple crosses to get these results.
