Cross Breeding

Sorry, i am so new to chickens. trying to learn all i can. Can you cross any breeds together or do you need to stick with certain breeds? i hope that make sense.....

right now i have a RIR Rooster with RIR hens and one white leghorn and two americana, so what if i incubated eggs from the the two breeds that are not RIR, can that be done or should it be done?

Horses seem much easier for me to figure out.

You can cross whatever you want! The animal won't be purebred which is important for showing. Some of my favorite hens are crossbreeds.

So will people still by cross birds? that might be a dumb question since it looks like easter eggers are a cross and people buy them. i want to try some stuff but don't want to end up with a whole bunch of chickens.
