I got misty about 3 months ago when she was just a week old. I had some worries that she might be visually impaired during the first few weeks. She would take a little longer to find the food when I fed them, she would walk right into the other hens sometimes. The problem is it’s gotten worse. I think she’s cross eyed since when she goes to eat, she pecks 2-3 inches to the left or right of her food or falls off the steps. My concern is her safety, she’s ran into other chickens, which my rooster is not a fan of, she’s fallen out of the coop, she’s even ran right into me when all the chickens run the other way. When I let my cat out, Misty tends to get herself chased and corned by running into him (my cat would never hurt them he just gets annoyed and chases her away). I’m not sure what I should do, she’s only a few months old and it’s only getting worse. If anyone else has blind/visually impaired chickens I could really use some tips or some ideas on what I can do for her. I just want to ensure her safety

:welcome I have an old roo that is blind in one eye and a young roo that can't see right but both adjusted. Now they just need supportive care. Both get caged to eat so I know they are getting enough.I made the young roo a large cage with no bottom so he could learn at his own pace,he always had a friend in with him to help him learn. Now he's free range. Have you given her any vitamins?

Welcome To BYC!
Can you post some photos of Misty? (of her and her eyes please)
What type of food/treats do you feed?

Right now she has a separate box near the chicken coop since she has trouble getting up the ramp. The area is fenced and a lot of the time another hen or two will join her sleeping in the box. I haven’t gave her any vitamins for it but I’ve looked into what could help a few times with no luck.
