My Australorp is sitting on a clutch of eggs and the father is a golden laced wyandott . What would the babies look like?

They will be mostly black. Cockerels may develop some red leakage as they mature, but that extended black is pretty dominant. They should all have rose combs from the Wyandotte, and white skin from the Australorp.

This is what my Australorp/ gold laced Wyandotte looks like:

She’s looks mostly like a black Australorp, but she has a rose comb, yellow feet and gold flecks on the back of her neck and wings. The gold on her neck is really hard to see in these photos, and she’s impossible to catch for closeups. I don’t know which parent was which, all I know is that’s shes australorp/ gold wyandotte. Hope this helps. :)

Here he is a few years later
