Sooo.......well made it to lockdown, i had my cut down egg carton ready, placed eggs in carton but didn't think until afterwards that i have heard about laying them on their side. Ummm, uhoh, i didn't do that i placed them in the carton just as they were in the turner, is this going to cause problems??

How is lockdown going?

I hatch my chicken eggs in cartons but I have also laid them on their sides - we have a turner also. I like the carton - stops the hatched chicks from knocking the unhatched eggs around.
 
There are a lot of folks who swear by standing eggs up. I think you will be fine. I have read that some folks feel it cuts down on drowning if the humidity was too high. I don't know myself. I prefer sides cause that's how nature made them but incubation isn't perfect.
