Has anyone here ever crossed a Silver laced bantam rooster to RIR hens? I have a rooster who was originally purchased as a Silver Sebright but once I got home and took him out and put him in his new cage with the hen it occured to me he wasn't a Sebright. He has the hackle feathering so my next assumption is an OE. Anyway, he is silver laced though. I was figuring I could have some fun with crosses though and would love to create some unusual laced and colorful chickens. What would happen in this cross?

i would expect something that looks like a RIR with lacing. or perhaps a golden sebright? lol.. I've never seen this done. or tried it myself so i have no idea.. only thing i can tell you is to try it. the results aren't always as people say because they may have other stuff crossed into them no one even knows about. which can affect the genetics making it differently then people said. or thought

it's
a fun way to check these color crosses!

Silver is dominant to the gold the RIR would carry so all your first generation hens would be silver and your first generation roosters would carry one gold and one silver gene, should making sexing them pretty easy
