Crossing

Black chicks. Chance of some red on breasts, hackles, wings. Single combs.

That goes for both genders of chicks, no matter which parent is the Australorp or which is the Rhode Island Red.
 
Okay. I thought that might be the case. Cos I looked at a lot of Australorp crosses. I've even got couple hens in my flock that are black with few flecks of red on there neck. But there parents were isa brown and father Australorp cross. All good thanks for that
