Crowing female?!

I have what I "think" is a female BA...but recently she has been making these odd "crowing" noises. She looks very very different from my roo BA and looks very much like a pic of a female BA, so what's up with that?

She's in a group with a OEG roo as the leader and he's been trying to mate her, so I'm assuming she's a girl, right?

Do females try to "crow" sometimes? Only me...I swear....

Well I have heard of crowing hens, but it is mostly when there is no roo.

I know the feeling. If crap's gonna happen.. then it's to us.

Yes, they will crow occasionally....

My mom used to say that to me when she'd hear us trying to whistle as kids

My hen cries and cries for hours when she needs to lay an egg. It is WAY more annoying and as loud as Rusty's crow. Is it normal for them to have "labor pains"? you'd think so, but I had to ask.
