Hi chicken friends :)

Ok my query is this, is this a Rooster or a crowing Hen? I know it sounds silly to even ask, but there didn't seem to be any Roosterish signs until he/she started to crow a few days ago. Now, the "crows" are small/half crows I guess, kind of like this "Cock-a-dooooo" and about four times in a row, a few seconds between and only of a morning. My chooks are an Australorp cross breed. The first chook is Eggbert, the "crower", and is 8 1/2 weeks old.

Eggbert:

And next is Lucy, this one has not crowed, but pretty identical to Eggbert and a week older

Confused Hen? or a Rooster? Any opinions or info would be much appreciated. Thanks :)

Roosters. No female that age is going to crow. A crowing hen is older, usually with hormonal issues. Birds this young crowing are male, period.
