Hello. I've visited this forum for answers before and it's taught me a lot. I know hens can crow if they are the dominant hen, but I don't think this is. I'm really hoping its not a rooster because we live in an urban setting (no crowing fowl allowed) and it is a pet for my 10 year old autistic daughter. I've read up on several proposed solutions to its crowing. It is a 4 month old Cochin, we bought at 2 weeks old, and it's huge. Its never shown any aggressive behavior, it doesn't even want to exit the pen when the others are let out to roam.

I just need to know, does this 4 month old look like a rooster to you more experienced folk? I read somewhere Cochins feathers mature later than some breeds.

Rooster or hen? Please help.
