Hi Everyone
After some info on the general age that roosters start to crow.
My girlfriend has a clutch of 9 baby bantams. They are currently about six weeks old and starting to get their feathers.
4 or five of these little critters have started crowing when they hear her two other older boys crowing.
Is this normal or are they super young and just very vocal?
Thanks
Edwena

It is uncommon for males to crow that early, but certainly not unheard of.

Thanks for the thread... had to get on today to check because one of our ayam cemani roosters(9 weeks old) decided that today it was going to copy our barred rock rooster(little over a year old). Woke up to 2 rooster crowing and boy let me tell you, little guy gots the crow down pretty well.

That's impressive. Not only young but accurate. Wonder how well he'll do with his other little boy activities!
