Crowing

my 11 week old cockerel silkie is crowing very noisily and a lot especially in the morning! You see it’s not that I don’t like his crow I love his little crow but it’s that we live in a place where roosters and cockerels and illegal and I really don’t want someone to complain or notice his crowing so we don’t have to get rid of him

I recently heard of crow collars could someone explain them and are they humane?
Is their any other way?

No crow collars are placed around the neck of a rooster/cockerel and tightened just enough to keep the bird from getting enough air for a full on crow.
They still crow. It's just not as loud.
I've read countless stories of people stating that they applied them correctly and checked them regularly but still found their beloved rooster had dropped dead. Sometimes a rooster will swallow something larger than usual. The collar then causes them to choke.
If roosters are illegal where you are, I would find him a new home where he can live a natural life and crow to his heart's content.

Yes, and so you don't risk being fined, losing all your birds...
..and the laws being changed so no one can have chickens in your area.
