Cruicial stage?

At what age do you think is the most cruicial time and at one age before you are pretty sure they will be ok!

Most that going to expire will do so within the first couple of weeks. I have heard of others dying after that but it occurs most commonly with new chicks.

With my shipped chicks (3 groups 5,4,and 3 days in mail) when they make it to day 4 at home I have not lost any more.

I have only lost one chick shortly after I got them. I have lost one hen to a predator and two (one pullet and the chick) to illness, and likely one pullet to a heat attack and re-homed one Roo.
