Crushed egg by broody hen?

Technically day 22 for the 4 other eggs out of the 6 that did not hatch yet.
Was just out doing barn chores and 1 of the eggs has been crushed by the
hen as she is obviously trying to get the 2 chicks to go out into the other part
to get to food and water. So sweet to hear her cluck to them!

Thank goodness I have read so much here as I knew not to open membrane
if I saw veins........can't tell if chick is alive and she has returned to sitting on the eggs.

Just a waiting game I guess?

Egg was completely crushed and chick doa when I went back out.

Took the other 3 to a knowledgeable friend who candled and said
50/50 give them a try to see if they finish. So, back under the hen they went!
